Reviewed by Martha G. of on Feb-2008 Stayed at the Property - Feb-2008 The property itself was great but no one told us, in any way, that it was at the end of the airport runway. The planes started 6:45- 715 AM and stopped around 9:30 -10 PM. Especially bothered my husband, even at the pool so be aware of this.

It's a really nice clean hotel with a beautiful and clean pool but it's way too far from town for me. Plan on having a car or you'll pay a lot in cab fares. I'm used to staying right on the beach, and while the Key Ambassador is on the water the beach is a mile down the road and it stinks (literally). Don't go to Key West for the beaches. I loved every other part of it though.

Continental breakfast was standard fare; more that good enough for a quick bite. We liked the location; about a mile to Smathers beach, and away from the traffic and congestion of downtown Duval St. Some people might be turned off by the fly by planes and construction going on, but it did not bother us at all. We enjoyed a scenic bike ride along the waterfront area right across the street.We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely consider staying there again.
