You can clearly see the staff is managed well. The employees are always kind which tells me they are well treated and trained properly. The exterior was not desirable so my impression when arrived was not a good one, but the guest rooms, cleanliness and outstanding service tell another story

Pros: Staff ~ Managed well
Cons: decor

After reading previous reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect at this hotel. This hotel turned out to be very clean and nice to be in. My room was a tad on the small side, but not confining though. The excellent location very near the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium makes it an ideal place to stay. My only real complaint was that I could hear the TV in the next room (I think it turned up loud) and I could hear when doors shut in peoples rooms. My only other complaint, the vending machines didn't work too well. All and all, I would stay here again!

Pros: Location
Cons: Sound proofing, vending machines.

We choose this hotel for it's location and reasonable price. It's a great to stay to be within walking distance to the museum complex, Millinium Park and shopping. Easy walk to most of what you want to do. Transportation at your door. Front desk was very helpful & friendly. Guest service call center was short and almost rude when we asked to pick up car. Otherwise, bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Cons: customer service

Thanks for other folks' review, which helped me a great deal. Every thing good is just as others stated. The front desk allowed us to check in before 3pm after verifying that they had rooms free. Tip: ask the exact number of card keys you need. When they add a key for you later on, it most likely won't work. The encryption of the keys is probably related to the number of keys.

Pros: close to everything
Cons: cigaret smell in the hallway

This hotel was a stones throw away from The Planetarium, Shedd, and Field Museum. Taxi service was extremely conveniant as was other transportation. Hotel was clean; staff was helpful and friendly. We had to park half a block away, truck wouldn't fit in hotel garage. Food in restaurant next door was good, though a bit expensive we thought. Our first trip to Chicago; would stay here again.

We choose this hotel because it's cheap and close to the Bears stadium. I found a great rate, so we couldn?t pass it up. Staff was great, beds were fine, rooms were clean? now the negatives: one elevator was broken the entire weekend (LONG wait for the other), room heater was extremely loud, shower faucet handle broke off. If you stay here, don't get the buffet at the 1st floor... go the Eleven. Its an incredible diner just down the street- great food, great service.
