The Outrigger Reef is a great hotel. We were a little disappointed with the remodelling underway. The lobby bar, pool bar and Chief's Hut restaurant were closed and we were not advised about that prior to our arrival. It was still a great time and lovely accomodations. We had a partial ocean view room and all the services are good. That is our 4th trip to the Outrigger and we probably would not stay any other hotel on Waikiki Beach

The bathrooms look like they were last updated in the 1970s. The tile epoxy in the tiny shower was peeling off, and the sink was sadly in need of replacement. The Housekeeper did not change our sheets once during the entire week of our stay, even though we left the request several times. Ohter than those issues, we enjoyed our time at the Reef, and found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

The sunsets were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also stayed at a fancier place up the street a ways and like the Outrigger Reef better. We went in Oct during the renovation. At first I thought that it was going to be bad but it wasn't bad at all! The hotel was great for the price, but the bathroom was VERY SMALL and the rooms were very clean. But who cares, nobody goes to Hawaii to see the bathrooms, or to spend time in a hotel room. I would definatley stay here again, it's a clean place to shower, eat, and sleep

The bathroom in our room was horrible. Paint flaking off in shower and vanity and it is small in comparison with other 3* hotels. The Shorebird and beach location is still as great as ever. The hotel should make some price adjustments during this construction. I wouldnt recommend till the construction is complete.

Nice hotel for what we paid for. Called in advance to make sure we got a king sized bed, followed up with a second call, but when we got there, they did not have it...however, our room got upgraded to a suite! Only 3 elevators for one tower so it took awhile to get on. The hotel was under construction so the computer facilities were in an awful place. The restaurants were good and the activities for the guests were nice as well (especially the lei making!) I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The rooms are very small (I stayed in the moderate room). We had to switch rooms because the water temperate fluctuated (hot and cold) when taking a shower. The hotel is very old but is making progress. The restaurants are awesome and the open air lobby is great. I would recommend the hotel after renovations are complete.. it got kinda noisy and the traffic around the hotel was bad.

The hotel is currently undergoing major rennovations. It is past due for an update. EVERY morning you get to wake early from the construction dumpster being emptied. This last all morning. The bathroom in our room was horrible. Paint flaking off in shower and vanity and it is small in comparison with other 3* hotels. The Shorebird and beach location is still as great as ever. The hotel should make some price adjustments during this construction. I wouldnt recommend till the construction is complete.

We were pleased with the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable even though it was fairly small. We found it fine for our purposes, since we were gone most of the time anyway. It is located on the beach within walking distance of shopping and many retaurants. We ate breakfast at the small cafe outside the hotel. The food was good and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The bathroom in our room was horrible. Paint flaking off in shower and vanity and it is small in comparison with other 3* hotels. The Shorebird and beach location is still as great as ever.

Would never stay in this hotel if I ever return to Hawaii. Beautiful scenic areas along the coast. Oahu is very overrated, the people act as if you are intruding.

Was there during construction but it wasn't really a problem. Pool's great, the view from the beach to Diamond Head is Spectacular. beautiful sunsets. everybody was very friendly and helpful. For coffe lovers like us theres a Starbucks in the lobby. We're planing to go back this year and we will stay at the same place.

We go to Oahu every year, and for the past three, this has been our choice. Even if the rooms were horrible which they aren't, the staff would completly make up for it. It's not the Four Seasons, but we've stayed at much worse a block away, besides who comes to Hawaii to stay in the hotel? We'll be back in '07
