There are beautiful views throughout the hotel, the pool is very resort-y and would be great for kids, the beach is great, and there is some nice free entertainment and good activities. Service was terrific. Walking 20 feet to a great, if crowded, snorkeling spot is a nice bonus. Ka'anapali is a perfect location.

We got a welcome letter where we got invited to the lobby, for some information regarding activities, restaurants etc. Not. Instead a real estate agent kept on trying to sell us time-shares. I asked for a bottle opener, and was told to either go to their restaurant myself and pick it up, they would do it for $4. A chair on the beach for you and your spouse $15. Parasol additional charge. You start thinking what the $18/day resort fees will pay for?

The room was quite a walk from the pool but it was very secluded. Only complaint is that the gardeners were buzzy us with power equipment by the pool all day one day... very annoying.

There is nightly Hawaiian entertainment and activities for children almost every day. Also, it is not to busy at all, much more melow than the Westin a couple hotels down. This hotel is in the middle of everything but is still serene. The cliff dive is wonderful and the sunset will simply blow you away. Although the food was pricey, this is the place to be in Maui... no doubt.
