Inside was less impressive with decor needing updating. The room was clean and service was friendly. Not a quiet hotel even though the place was not at max capacity. Lots of good places to eat nearby with the La Cumbre mall across the street and a family restaurant/diner on site. Good steak and seafood restaurant nearby (Chuck's Steakhouse) within easy walking distance. Nice hotel for the price compared to other hotels in the Santa Barbara area which tends to be pricey.

The walls are too thin, and the windows are still single paned, so you can hear anything and everything. Other guests in the inn were inconsiderate in the other rooms, being as loud, drunk, and offensive as possible at 3 AM. Customer service, however, is really fair; the manager sympathized and it worked out for my party. However, I won't be staying in Santa Barbara anytime, again. Fair hotel, but don't spend more than $100/nite.
