Paper thin walls. We could hear everything the people in the next room were saying. The bar attracted traffic late into the night, and it was hard to ignore the noisy Harleys circling the hotel.

Pros: location
Cons: wall thickness

My wife and I headed to Buellton to do the "Sideways" tour and decided to stay at the old Windmill Inn which is now a Days Inn. The room was average, but bettter than the last Day's Inn I stayed in. For the price, it's worth it. Solvang is much more expensive.

Pros: Location
Cons: Bed

If you are going to do the "Sideways" tour, you have to stay here...period. The bed was a little soft, but the room was decent for a Days Inn.

Pros: Part of the "Sideways" experience
Cons: Bed

Nice place. We had a very comfortable room. Our room didn't have a TV remote, however, and when I called the front desk they weren't much help. Something like that should be told to the guests ahead of time.
