This is not a 3 star hotel...first room was dirty and very small, second room view was a brick wall, noisy, bad neighborhood, could not walk the location, not close to dining, not walking distance to harbor, parking terrible

Pros: Close to Highway
Cons: No harbor insight, cement wall for view, bad loc.

The hotel loaction is a few blocks from the harbor. There is a nice courtyard and small pool area. The rooms were a bit dated but clean. Santa Barbara is expensive, and this is a great hotel for a night or two.

Pros: Location to Beach
Cons: Rooms

I loved this "inn." The beach is one block; harbor, pier and shopping within walking distance. The room was like a studio apartment; clean with fully stocked kitchen with nicer pots than I have at home, huge closet. Office staff nice and helpful; they have DVDs you can check out at no cost, which was great for my kids. My only dislike was the table - a bistro-style table for 2, and I had 2 little kids with me ... we picnicked on the floor because the chairs were too high for them.

Great place with welcoming wine, cheese and crackers in the lobby and homemade chocolate chip cookies later. Rooms are cozy and the central courtyard has nice greenery. We decided to stay an extra night.

I know its a cheap motel but still at $* a night one would expect a comfortable bed. I guess it turned out to be a good thing that I didn't get any sleep because not only did the alarm not work but the wake service failed me as well. Would not stay here again.

Picture is a lot nicer than it is. Walls were thin; neighbors kept us up until 2:00 am. Not close to the Harbor or State street. Outside area is dirty. The hotel staff was friendly and are trying to make it nicer, but it still has a long way to go.

Pros: they TRY to make it nice
Cons: everything

This hotel was excellent value for a hotel in SAnta Barbara where costs are high. Excellent for vacation travel since it has a full kitchen, small dinette area as well as a full bathroom and the bed. It's close to the train station, the harbor and fairly close to downtown SAnta Barbara where the prices run from 170-319. This is a great value.
