Reviewed by Michael N. of Los Angeles of CA USA on Mar-2007 Stayed at the Property - Mar-2007 This hotel is conveniently located to Old Scottsdale and its shops, which is great since you won't want to be in the hotel at all. Ordinary, below average rooms and supbar service make it a poor choice unless every nice hotel in town is overbooked. You're better off in a low-priced motel where nothing more than a bed is expected and you won't have to pay three-star prices for low-quality and inflexible service.

The heater was extremely loud (sounded like a freight train) and kept me up until I found some ear plugs. Although a I had confirmed a "superior" room, they put us in a "standard" room which faces the street. It is worth it to pay extra for the superior room to have a view of the lake and to be farther from street noise.

The desk was notified and we were sent someone who sprayed the area that the bugs were coming from. We couldn't switch rooms that day but were told that another room would be provided on the following day. We were never contacted and two days later the problem was back. Carpet was filthy, wallpaper falling off the walls and the bathroom door could not be closed. The entry door would stick and was difficult to open.

This hotel is centrally located to shopping and Scottsdale nightlife. The rooms were clean and spaceous. I highly recommend it to anyone.
