The hot breakfast come on is a lie. They haven't had a hot breakfast for several months. All they had was muffins in the office. NO HOT WATER. My husband couldn't even shave. When I told the person in the office we didn't have hot water she said some people didn't know how to turn it on. I told her I am 55 and have turned on lots of faucets in my life. I'd know if I wasn't turning it on right. Horrible mattress and pillows. I'd never stay there again.

My stay was 15 minutes long. It wasn?t until I opened the door to this dungeon that I noticed the supposedly reddish carpet was soiled black at the entrance/hallway. As I ventured forth into this cavernous dump, called Unit 135, I sat on the mattress and felt what appeared to be (box) springs. Pulling the bedspread partially off, I noticed the five-year-old bed linens. It was time to inspect the rest of this dump. In the bathroom, the ceiling was coming down

Promised internet service was not there, amenities such as iron and board; coffee and decent towels were not provided. Included breakfast was from a diner that only served from 7-10a.m. Our meetings at convention center started at 7 a.m. and we could not even get coffee. At checkout the man at the counter insisted I had to pay for a safe in the room that we did not use. He said it did not matter. I told him he could write it off since we did not get what we were promised. He refused to give us a receipt. I will probably never use a TraveLodge again.

We found the hotel to be a friendly place. We really enjoyed the cafe b/c it was a cafe not a lounge in the hotel. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean. We were 5 blocks from the river walk

Pros: the cafe
Cons: exercise equipment

The hotel was clean, basic, and functional. It is set in a low rent district which made foot travel a little uncomfortable at night between the hotel and the convention center. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: Modest cost and cleanliness
Cons: Showing wear
