Reviewed by Sarah S. of Austin, TX United States on Sep-2007 Stayed at the Property - Apr-2008 I am a student and went to New Orleans for Spring Break. I was a bit nervous because of all the bad press N.O. had gotten. I felt very safe here and was never afraid in the hotel, my room, or walking to and from the hotel. You can easily walk to Bourbon Street and all around the Quarter. The parking sucks, but if you are planning on spending a great deal of time in the Quarter then it won't matter, just park and leave it at Jackson Square. I loved this hotel for its traditional french architecture, accessibilty to Bourbon St, and the courtyard was perfect New Orleans style. |

Reviewed by L D. of Burlington, NC USA on Feb-2008 Stayed at the Property - Feb-2008 BEWARE false advertising! Room was TINY, roof LEAKING, walls paper-thin, rodents could easily fit through large gap under door, "balcony" just a catwalk to your (& everyone else's) door, no clock or temp control in room so first we're sweating, asked them to turn it down and then we're freezing! "Antique" furniture just an old, dirty, stained dresser and ONE hard chair. "Complimentary" parking three blocks away. Staff not friendly or helpful, cleaning crew & front clerk argued openly in front of us, breakfast was donuts. :-( |
