We live 7 miles from the resort but wanted an overnight family get-away. It was The Oasis water park at the resort that attracted us (along with the summer rates of course) and it certainly did not disappoint. Mid-day the water park was very crowded and it was nearly impossible to find open chairs or lounges. However, it was WAY too hot to sit around anyway, so we enjoyed the slides, pools, and lazy river over and over again. It was great!

Pros: The Oasis water park
Cons: Older rooms need to be refreshed

This was my second time to Point South Mountain. Love it. Mimossa for breakfast, Mango Sunburn for lunch and Tropical Margarita for dinner. Lots to do. water park, adult pool, gym, gym classes...and of course a Ricky Jolene concert! Room was spaciuos. Staff did not have consistent answers and overall they could have done better in keeping the grounds free of trash from all the visitors.

Pros: water park
Cons: cleanliness of grounds

Don't be fooled by the nice appearance from the outside. The rooms are very outdated, dingy, and beds are worn out and uncomfortable. You will get the same quality of room from a bargain suites property. Carpets were filty dirty, and after walking on them you will leave mud in the bathtub/shower. NOT good place for a romantic weekend. Unless you really want the waterpark PASS ON THIS ONE!!!

Pros: Grounds
Cons: Rooms

At arrival we were told the internet rooms are next to the noisy freeway, and recommended a $20/night upgrade. They didn't know about the $25 food/drink credit advertised, The prices are high at the Phatom Horse Sports Bar and entree's don't include salad or bread. All substitutions are $2 extra. Two 6oz steaks, Four prawns, a cup of potato's, and 4 cocktails with tax and was one hundred dollars. There wasn't a feather bed as advertised and the mattress was lumpy.

Pros: entrance/lobby
Cons: a lot of things
