The hotel has been newly renovated so the room is nice, the lobby very impressive. The gym is also nice. We have a partially ocean view room with 2 beds, the room is very tight for 2 adults and 2 children. If you like shopping, this is a good place. If you like tourist area and walking on the beach. Waikiki area is better including shopping. There is the beach, shopping, nightly activities. We will stay in Waikiki area on our next trip.

Pros: lobby
Cons: seating at elevator, sometime have to wait a while

The staff was very helpful and patient when we arrived and couldn't find our reservation. They handled the frustrating situation well. The room was recently renovated very nicely but the view from our 14th floor room was of a parking lot and the side of another hotel. Overall, a good, convenient place to stay.Parking was $15 per day. It is a block from a beautiful swimming beach.

Pros: recently renovated, helpful staff

Hotel conveniently located; rooms are recently renovated, stylish & had everything: sofa, chair, coffee table, comfy bed, desk, fridge, etc. View from room wasn't great, but you don't go to Hawaii to look out the window. Hotel seems to be under renovation, but NOT noisy. Could have used more staff at Reception Desk during peak hours, but they were friendly & everything else was great. Stores in lobby very convenient, concierge very helpful, Ala Moana Shopping Center just steps away!

I enjoyed the Ala Moana Hotel. The view was amazing from our 23rd floor room. The pool was quite big. The bar beside the pool was perfect. Would I stay there again, in a heartbeat. I also liked the easy access to the Ala Moana Mall which has The Mai Tai bar at the very top level. The sushi restaurant behind the hotel is the best I have ever been in. It is quite small but the sushi and the service was awesome.

Pros: The View
Cons: service at their restaurant

The room was great. Nice size only thing I didnt like was the Plantation Cafe. Expensive and very slow service. Would stay there again.
