Reviewed by Ellie W. of Oroville of CA USA on Jul-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jul-2007 The rooms were clean, comfortable, roomy and a good value for the money. The walkway to the beach was a little scary behind the adjacent buildings, but during the day it's really no big deal. The "patio" in our two rooms was a little odd, but since we were practically on top of the highway and train tracks, the enclosed patio most certainly helped cut down on the noise. My only real complaint - if you want to call it that, is that the gentleman at the front desk seemed annoyed that he had to assist us at check-in. However, when checking out, the lady was very friendly. |

| Pros: | close to beach |
| Cons: | front desk attitude |

Reviewed by Jennie G. of Riverside of Ca USA on Jul-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jul-2007 this really was a nice hotel for 2 nights as we could walk to the beach, but it is so close to the freeway and railroad tracks that you need to be cautious with small children. Ask for a room on the opposite side of the freeway noise and you will be fine. We did and never heard a thing until we went out to use the pool and jacuzzi - a nice area but lots of road noise. |

Reviewed by Shirley N. of Ventura of CA USA on Jul-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jul-2007 I have stayed at almost every hotel in Ventura for the past few years visiting family and I will only stay at the Country Inn moving forward. Location is GREAT, right by the beach, shops, and restaurants. You can walk everywhere! The "noise" from the train/freeway has never bothered me - the food, free drinks, and staff are the BEST. The regular rooms are huge - but splurg on the mini-suite because they have a lovely fireplace. |

Reviewed by Kathy L. of Anaheim of CA United States on Jun-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jun-2007 Just a few blocks from the beach, at the edge of downtown and close to the fairgrounds -- perfect for exploring Ventura. The train and the freeway are adjacent, so it's noisy and it's foolish to open the windows but the spacious rooms are great. Nice free happy hour and breakfast. |

Reviewed by Shirley N. of Bakersfield of CA USA on Sep-2006 Stayed at the Property - Sep-2006 I arrived and had a very quick check-in. The staff was so friendly and took the time to help me find a French Restaurant for dinner. The rooms are LARGE - it seemed like a suite. The free breakfast was great too...I will definitely come back soon! |
