Reviewed by Al D. of Collinsville, MS on Oct-2007 Stayed at the Property - Oct-2007 This hotel was unbelievably stunning with all of it's beautiful architecture and friendly staff and huge rooms. I used my starwoods preferred guest points to get 2 free nights and enjoyed every minute there. As others have said, use the parking garage across the street to park your car. It's only $* a night compared to Sheraton's $* a night. Other than that and the fact they charge for internet I have no complaints at all. I will be back! ;) |
|
| Pros: | atmosphere |
| Cons: | wireless internet needs to be no charge, parking |

Reviewed by Michael I. of San Antonio of tx usa on Jul-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jul-2007 I rented three rooms for family members who were visiting to attend my son's wedding. Two of the rooms were small and substandard. One of the parties complained and was upgraded to the size room we actually paid for. The other party decided to "tough it out". I'm not pleased with how my family and I (who paid for all the rooms) was treated. |

Reviewed by Luann Z. of on Feb-2007 Stayed at the Property - Feb-2007 While the hotel is bubbling over in history; the bathrooms could really use an update. You had to stand in the bath tub to close the door! The room was large, we had two huge windows that gave us a lovely view of the roofs of the buildings next door. The "Romance Package" was delicious although not really worth the extra, (Chocolate covered strawberries and champagne.) What really made it worth is was the staff's proffessionalism and kindness. Watch out for the $22 valet parking! |

Room was nicely decorated but humid too warm (no matter how much we lowered thermostat) yet whenever we opened the door, we got a rush of cool air from the hallway. |
