Reviewed by Maria C. of Farmington of MI USA on Jul-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jul-2007 Great location--the only hotel downtown with all the shops. Rooms were nice--could use updating, but still nice and clean. Staff was courteous. Would stay again. For those who would rather stay at a hotel on the bay, there is a public parking structure across the street from this hotel so you don't have to rely on finding a meter spot or worry about parallel parking. |

Reviewed by Tom N. of IL USA on Jul-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jul-2007 Blown room service, blown wakeup call- and breezy non-concern by the responsible employees. Rude and condescending evening front desk staff (wife was sneerinlgy told she'd have to wait or come back to ask a question while the "worker" talked on the phone). Rooms-eh, okay. Location, great. |

Reviewed by Liz C. of Linden of MI USA on Mar-2007 Stayed at the Property - Feb-2007 Our experience started when we called the hotel directly. The staff was extremely rude and it never got better. We were asked to move our sleeping children because our neighbors complained that they were making too much noise (sleeping). Their pool is a public facility so it was overly crowded. The tower rooms are VERY small; not worth the $$. The only positive feedback I'll give is it's located in a great spot, but not great enough that we'll ever be back!! Also, our message to the general manager went unanswered! |

Reviewed by Lori M. of Holt of MI United States on Nov-2006 Stayed at the Property - Oct-2006 I was so impressed with the beautiful room and great location in Downtown Traverse City. (Not great if you want beach, but awesome for shopping and nightlife). BUT the check-in staff was not familiar with the procedure to check in with a pre-paid stay and they were rude about it. When I called the manager to tell her what had happened, she was even more rude. I thought it was odd that I had witnessed so many employees standing in groups griping about their jobs at such a nice place, but now I see why. I WOULD stay there again, but only for a great bargain price. |

Reviewed by Lori M. of Holt of MI USA on Oct-2006 Stayed at the Property - Oct-2006 I love the location of this hotel, probably the best in all of Traverse if you want to be near downtown. HOWEVER, one of the clerks at the front desk was extremely RUDE. Later, when I spoke to the Manager about it, I again got the impression that their staff is VERY RUDE. I would stay there again because I enjoyed the rest of my stay, but I wouldn't hold a function there. Dealing with them to plan a nice meeting or reception would be a nightmare. |

Reviewed by Nancy R. of Farmington Hills of MI USA on Mar-2007 Stayed at the Property - Feb-2006 Very nice historic hotel within walking distance of main shopping area of Traverse City. Large comfortable rooms, although heat was difficult to control. Staff was very helpful and pleasant and offered to try to adjust heat. Good restaurant at the hotel. Swimming pool was a bit of a disappointment with too much chlorine and locker room wasn't very clean. Overall we were quite pleased that we chose this hotel. I would definitely stay there again. |
