However, if you are looking for a hotel where you may want to relax and enjoy the TV or surf the internet, this hotel does not have these features. Older furnishings and linens as well.

There are now refrigerators and microwaves in the downstairs rooms which have been updated with new beds and furniture. Very convenient freeway access and close to the wineries. Margie's Diner next door has the best breakfasts! The only negative is the musty smell that is not quite covered by the room freshener and aggravated my nasal allergies. Overall, a good value for the money. I will be back!

We were very concerned about their history of overbooking, but with each phone call made as we travelled to SLO they assured us our room would be ready and available, and it was.

After HANGING UP on us 4 times (and no, we not yell or cuss) they sent us to another hotel 18 miles south in a BAD city. It was unkept, dirty and scary. They didn't even offer to comp or discount the room. Horrible Birthday weekend. :(

The room was small and dark and you didn't want to touch anything, afraid you were going to catch a terrible disease. The comforter was dirty and we removed that immediately. We even left a day early, the place was so bad.

I'd take Uncle Ed's place ANY day over this place. It was grubby and cold. The bed was marginal, and the pillows were awful. Worst of all was the noise. We gave up and left at 3:00 a.m. NEVER to return. There's a reason that you always find this place at the top of the super-discounted lists. (By the way, even if the loud party hadn't been going on, we would never go back to this place.)
