Despite some bad reviews from previous travelers my daughter and I had a wonderful time. The minor problems I had were corrected. The manager X went above and beyond to correct for me.The staff was helpful and courteous. Cafe staff were very hospitable . The beds were comfortable, the view of downtown Disney for the fireworks display was perfect, the whirlpool tub relaxing, the fountain in the courtyard was beautiful, the convenience of the gift shop and Disney store in the lobby was great, the shuttle service for the theme parks ran every 30 minutes. I will stay again. .

When we got to our room, we found damaged and scuffed furniture, one bar of soap in the bathroom, no pad of paper, no pen, a musty smelling room, and cigarette burns on the bedspread. I believe that the renovation was a new coat of paint (if they did that). The new Royal Beds were less than royal. The King Executive Suite we stayed in (room 501), seems to be adjacent to the glass elevator that serves only the upper floors of the hotel. Each time the elevator passed, we heard clanging.

The hotel itself was clean. Customer service is somewhat friendly but, not willing to accomodate for anything. We arrived 5 mins early and our room wasn't ready for another 45 mins. When we finally got a room it was connected to the (Main Lobby) elevator that ran from 8am-11pm but, started up early every morning, it made the worst noises and truly was the worst rest I have ever received on a vacation especially, since it was connected to our BEDROOM! The rooms were nice but, only had BASIC cable. We will never stay here again.

Close to downtown disney and the room is clean. However, what upset us is the mandatory surcharge of $8 per night plus tax for the resort fee/local phone calls/shuttle. The highspeed internet connection in the room did not work and could not be fixed by the hotel engineering people. Ask the hotel staff about shuttle or alternative transportation to the airport, factory outlets or other theme parks like Universal Studios other than cab and their response was " I don't know, take a cab". Shuttle to disney parks also take too many stops to pick up guest from other hotels.

We had a wonderful time. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The thing we found is you can not watch TV by sitting on the sofa, as the sofa is on the same side of the room as the TV. There is no FREE internet access of any kind. In a hotel this pricey you would think they could afford to have that. We were pool front and that was great. The hotel staff do not seem to be very Disney friendly.

Pros: Cleanliness of the room and hotel.
Cons: Sofa location and give FREE internet access.

When we finally got a room it was connected to the (Main Lobby) elevator that ran from 8am-11pm but, started up early every morning, it made the worst noises and truly was the worst rest I have ever received on a vacation especially, since it was connected to our BEDROOM! We arrived at the Plaza and they claimed that they had overbooked and that we had no room , we booked 4 months in advance ,this was early Dec , how could they be comletely booked up . X on the front desk said he would put at the Palace for free (of course we were billed) , it was one nite and we were soppose to return to the Plaza for our next four days , that first nite instead of a nite at a Disney park we had to stay in the room and do nothing . But mostly the resveration mix up soured us on this hotel, this hotel needs to take a look at Disney , customer service is everything .

Pros: very close to Disney Downtown
Cons: need to do better job with resverations

An excellent place to stay for the price. The rooms are clean and updated. The location is convenient to Disney attractions and other Orlando destinations. There was other charges when you get to the hotel, including Internet charges, if you could get on. But it was a block from Downtown Disney. So I guess they have one plus.

Pros: Cleanliness

We had a wonderful time. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The thing we found is you can not watch TV by sitting on the sofa, as the sofa is on the same side of the room as the TV. There is no FREE internet access of any kind. In a hotel this pricey you would think they could afford to have that. We were pool front and that was great. The hotel staff do not seem to be very Disney friendly.

Pros: Cleanliness of the room and hotel.
Cons: Sofa location and give FREE internet access.

When we finally got a room it was connected to the (Main Lobby) elevator that ran from 8am-11pm but, started up early every morning, it made the worst noises and truly was the worst rest I have ever received on a vacation especially, since it was connected to our BEDROOM! The distance to the room from the parking lot was a long, long walk.with NO elevator to the second floor for the rooms by the pool. The ceiling fan when turned on was so wobbly that i thought it might come flying off on to the bed. Very small bathroom. Sheets and bed had nasty stains on them. Room service breakfast was the worst cold breakfast I have ever had, pretty bad when they cant cook eggs over hard.

Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Shuttle, customer service

We had a wonderful time. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The thing we found is you can not watch TV by sitting on the sofa, as the sofa is on the same side of the room as the TV. There is no FREE internet access of any kind. In a hotel this pricey you would think they could afford to have that. We were pool front and that was great. The hotel staff do not seem to be very Disney friendly.

Pros: Cleanliness of the room and hotel.
Cons: Sofa location and give FREE internet access.

An excellent place to stay for the price. The rooms are clean and updated. The location is convenient to Disney attractions and other Orlando destinations. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional and they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were quiet and ours had a view of the Disney fireworks display. Highly recommended.

There was other charges when you get to the hotel, including Internet charges, if you could get on. But it was a block from Downtown Disney. So I guess they have one plus.
