The first words of the gentleman at the front desk were "Credit card and ID." No hello, no eye contact. Zero welcome as the registration progressed. Grrr. Otherwise, the place was great. Small room (sized like European hotels), clean, loved the comfortable lobby & easy computer access. Couldn't beat the price. Safe area within walking distance to everything (including public transp). Same front desk gentleman was friendly later on but that first impression cost Club Quarters SF a smiley face.

The room was very small but nice and the price was unbeatable. The major flaw of this hotel is a lack of free parking. The ramp accross the street gave us incorrect information regarding the rate and we ended up paying much more than we had expected (posted rate signs were very unclear). Also, please look under your bed at check-in. We discovered a "surprise" under our bed that housekeeping had missed for at least 3 days. When it was brought to management's attention they did not appear surprised and we were offered no compensation. Kind of a bad way to end the trip.

I've been staying at CQ everytime I visit S.F. for the last 4 years. Great, safe location and easy access to public transportation and SF hotspots. Very nice, clean luxury/modern hotel with public computers on bottom floor for travelers to use to get around town. Service is excellent as well. I don't recommend this room for more than 2 people.

Pros: Location, easy accessibility to busses/rails
Cons: Rooms could be a tad bigger

The room was very small but nice and the price was unbeatable. The major flaw of this hotel is a lack of free parking. The ramp accross the street gave us incorrect information regarding the rate and we ended up paying much more than we had expected (posted rate signs were very unclear). Also, please look under your bed at check-in. We discovered a "surprise" under our bed that housekeeping had missed for at least 3 days. When it was brought to management's attention they did not appear surprised and we were offered no compensation. Kind of a bad way to end the trip.

Pros: Location
Cons: Parking, housekeeping

Took the BART from SFO airport. Walked 5 short blocks to the hotel. Very easy and affordable. Hotel staff very pleasant and efficient. Room was ready for us. Location is great for walking through Union Square, China Town & Financial district. Walked all over the place. Rates very good for the area. Elephant & Chase restaurant that is attached to the hotel has poor food but cold beer!
