this was a horrible experience, I woke up in the middle of the night to find roaches all over my bed and room!!! This is a completely RUN DOWN 1star hotel. They need to level it and rebuilt it. Do NOT book this hotel thinking it's a 3star property. It's not, the rooms are very run down, roaches everywhere. Although X who is the hotel manager, was very courteous. Staff isn't bad but the hotel property is.

Pros: it's near by downtown locations
Cons: entire hotel needs improvement

Parking is horrible. Go around the block for substantial savings. Concierge was useless. Bell staff was very good. Bathrooms are tiny! Stay closer to downtown to see sights.

Pros: Location
Cons: Lots

Bummed to discover the hotel hadn't turned on the a/c yet, and since the windows don't open it was warm, but they were accomodating with a fan which made it comfortable. Large room, TINY bathroom. Didn't hear any construction noise, even though we were warned about it upon check-in. Great location, convenient to everything--we walked from the train station and didn't have to take a taxi once.

Pros: clean/comfortable
Cons: no year-around a/c!

This place is just awful, from the outdated decor to the substandard accommodations to the poor service. I facilitated a group meeting here and we had to move to another location for the second two days because of noise from parking garage construction. The hotel was aware of the construction and never bothered to alert us when we booked the meeting room. Definitely NOT for the discriminating business traveler. There a far better places to stay within a block or two.

Pros: The exit
Cons: Everything

The Crowne Plaza is in the middle of everything great about Philadelphia. Our walking took us from the Art Museum to Independence Hall to the Franklin Science Museum. Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, plus they give you a free CD of meditative sleep sounds to listen to if you have trouble sleeping in the middle of a big city.

Pros: Location
Cons: Expensive Parking

at 2 people max per room they basically don't want families to stay there. Our 11 and 13 y/o researched hotels near the historical sites and picked this one only to find when we tried to make reservations that they aren't welcome without getting 2 full price rooms.
