Reviewed by Ali U. of Knoxville of TN USA on Jul-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jun-2007 All in all the experience was alright, but I have been to New Orleans before & think you can get a much better deal closer to the French quarter. The room had an odd musty/smokey smell (even though the hotel is non-smoking) and the majority of the staff was very slow to aknowledge your presence due to ongoing personal conversations/visitors of thiers. Not very C/S friendly, but only 4-5 blocks away from Bourbon St - you decide!
Pros:	Brick facade walls in rooms is really nice
Cons:	Rooms are stained/dirty & staff is not helpful

It was clean, convenient, with a friendly staff and a great location. Two of the rooms had no outside light source and I only had a coffee packet the forst day, but these are minor compared to some of our New Orleans stay experiecnes.

Other than the glitch with housekeeping, the place was fine. Friendly and helpful front desk, and a nice continental breakfast. One thing missing since our last visit in 2005, is the valet parking. You now park at the Sheraton, which is right around the corner. A little bit of a hassle if you plan to drive around a lot while in town. The hotel has a good location right off of Canal St, and a lower price than others in that area.
