Reviewed by Matt N. of IN US on Sep-2006 Stayed at the Property - Apr-2006 Great value! You get a very nice continential breakfast, and a reception every evening with an open bar, and awesome italian appetizers. Beds are very soft, and linens are comfortable. The only downfall is the front desk. They need to be a little more cheerful. I would not reccomend small kids at this hotel though. There is no pool, and some guest might be annoyed by little guys running around. |

Reviewed by shantel m. of Pittsburgh of PA United States on Jan-2007 Stayed at the Property - Jan-2007 Stayed at the Amalfi due to good reviews. Clean room but bed and towels could have been better quality. Avoid rooms ending in "22" as they are across from the ice maching. 6th floor is the highest floor (evening reception held there in a meeting room). Try the Amalfitini-- made with yummy limoncello. Park at the garage on State! Cheaper than valet. |

I had never been to Chicago before so I was skeptical about where to stay and I picked a winner. This hotel was clean, the staff was very pleasing, the complimentary breakfast and reception are great. We had 4 of ladies in a room and they made sure we all had our own robes and slippers. The bathroom was large enough for 4 women to share. It is on a quiet street but close enough to walk anyware. Beds are nice and the pillows are to die for. When I go back to Chicago I will stay here. |

Reviewed by Peggy B. of Amarillo of TX USA on Oct-2006 Stayed at the Property - Oct-2006 We visited Chicago the weekend of the Chicago Marathon! With 40,000 runners, hotels and bargins were rare. The Amalfi proved to be a good, clean, 3 star hotel. It was comfortable and in a convenient location for us. While not ON the Magnif. Mile nor offering the 5-star amenities, it was a very nice place for the money. When you spend so little time in the room, why spend more? We did, however, wish that there had been a safe in the room. |
