We enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend it. The room/suite was great..clean...neat...perfect. The only thing I noticed that might need some improvement, was that the staff wasn't friendly...not unfriendly...just not friendly. We had to address them to get any attention...they didn't cater to you...you had to find them. Also, we were in the elevator several times with staff, and they never greeted guest at all...you know "good evening".."hello"..."hope you have a good day"...yada yada...just something that usually happens at other hotels I've stayed at...suggestion to the management.

I LOVE this hotel - I stayed here 1 month before Katrina and the hotel is exactly the same now - very well maintained and cared for. For its class of hotel it is perfect - the rooms are tastefully and well appointed, clean and comfortable, the service is friendly and accomodating, the common areas are bright and lovely and it is altogether a very handsome hotel in a great area. Excellent bargain.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip and when we got there, the hotel was a pleasant surprise! Our first two nights were in a regular king size room which was pretty small. The third night we upgraded to a suite, which was AWESOME! It was a lot bigger. The location was great, and the staff was wonderful. The breakfast was great as well. This hotel, when compared to other hotels is a real bargain. My room was comfortable and felt like an even better bargain when I compared what others paid to stay elsewhere. Beware, though, that parking will set you back $23 a day. The staff had me convinced the first few days I would never see my car again if I parked on the street but that wasn't true. Otherwise it was close to the action and comfy

This hotel has real character. We loved the old restored warehouse feel. It was very nice and had New Orleans flair. Very close to Harrah's and also a short walk to Burbon Street. Located in a safe part of town, we felt comfortable walking back even at 5am. Around this hotel, there are others being restored so the area is booming. We will return!

Clean, reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of the french quarter. But very noisy. Walls are thin and do not seal well against ceiling joists. I could see light from the neighboring room and hear every word they said. Floors are not insulated and I could hear every footstep. Door had an inch crack underneath and I could easily hear elevators, lobby and hall traffic. Dumpsters are emptied every morning at 4:30 am.

I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference. It was clean and well kept. The facility has a unique character (exposed beams and tall ceilings), which are no doubt remnants of whatever the building was originally built for. The location was good--close to the French Quarter and Canal Street. The neighborhood is mixed use, which includes a few restaurants, but also some empty storefronts, light industrial use, and vacant buildings being renovated. My room was on the first floor overlooking a not so attractive alley. Overall I would stay here again.

Hotel has a lot of character...exposed beams and brick walls. If you like to explore the nooks and crannies of a hotel, this is a good one because of the variations in architectual style stemming from the various buildings that make up the property. Very pleased with the service and room. Front desk very helpful with early check-in and late check out. Two blocks from French Quarter. Easy and safe walk to most attractions along the river. I found the hotel to be very nice, clean, and the staff was very professional. The breakfast was great. The only complaint I have is that I didn't find out until I arrived that, in addition to the hotel bill, there is a $23 per day charge to park your car. The only other option was to park on the streets or take your chances with one of the city lots. Other than that, it was a great hotel, only about 2 blocks from the French Quarter and a nice (and safe) walk.

Expect some street noise; it's not tall. Some rooms on street level. Free high-speed internet. Small workout room with about five cardio machines. I would go back. Price is very competitive.

Cons: friendliness of staff

I LOVE this hotel - I stayed here 1 month before Katrina and the hotel is exactly the same now - very well maintained and cared for. For its class of hotel it is perfect - the rooms are tastefully and well appointed, clean and comfortable, the service is friendly and accomodating, the common areas are bright and lovely and it is altogether a very handsome hotel in a great area. Excellent bargain.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip and when we got there, the hotel was a pleasant surprise! Our first two nights were in a regular king size room which was pretty small.

Clean, reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of the french quarter. But very noisy. Walls are thin and do not seal well against ceiling joists. I could see light from the neighboring room and hear every word they said. Floors are not insulated and I could hear every footstep.

If you like to explore the nooks and crannies of a hotel, this is a good one because of the variations in architectual style stemming from the various buildings that make up the property. Will go back again.

Pros: Lots of character.

This hotel is right near everything without being IN the french quarter. It was clean (and new). The staff was very friendly. The valet was quick to get our car. The (heated)pool is small, but it has a nice fountain in a beautiful courtyard setting. The exercise room is very nice. as are the rooms, beds (very comfy) and bathrooms. The only thing I will have to mention is...the garbage trucks passed on tuesday morning about 5:30, and we were on the first floor, on the back alley and it was a little noisy for a little while. but other than that it was a perfect stay. We will be back in Dec.

Clean, pleasant, attractive inside. Not the nicest street, but 1.5 blocks from Canal St and no problems. Friendly staff. Pool was about 10 x 15 feet; no restaurant but a nice diner is nearby and many restaurants are in easy walking distance. Free self-serve breakfast. Rooms are nice. Expect some street noise; it's not tall. Some rooms on street level. Free high-speed internet. Small workout room with about five cardio machines. I would go back. Price is very competitive.

Very pleased with the service and room. Front desk very helpful with early check-in and late check out. Two blocks from French Quarter. Easy and safe walk to most attractions along the river. Will go back again.

Pros: Lots of character.
Cons: nothing

I found the hotel to be very nice, clean, and the staff was very professional. The breakfast was great. The only complaint I have is that I didn't find out until I arrived that, in addition to the hotel bill, there is a $23 per day charge to park your car. The only other option was to park on the streets or take your chances with one of the city lots. Other than that, it was a great hotel, only about 2 blocks from the French Quarter and a nice (and safe) walk.

Cons: Parking

Pros: clean, pleasant, friendly
Cons: No restaurant, tiny pool
